Celebrate Good Times, COME ON!

Six months and hundreds of applications later...Ben got a job! Yeah! We are very excited. I think out of the many, many jobs he applied for, this really is THE job for him. He will enjoy it and be great at it. The job is with:

His title is "Telecom Technician". What that means exactly...I dunno. Something with networking and maintaining computers, cell phones, radios and all that technological stuff. We're thrilled to have insurance again (now we can get hurt and sick again =)...but my "single mom" status won't be changing soon enough because the job is in...

That's right, the Wood family is moving to Good ole' Vernal. This new adventure is bitter-sweet for us. We have loved our new home here in Stansbury Park and are very sad to leave. But through this trial we've been given I've learned a lot and the biggest thing I've learned is that we can live anywhere, as long as we're all together as a family. So as soon as the house sells (hopefully sooner than later) we'll be starting down our new road in life.

Wood-i-ness

Here's some of the latest and greatest happenings of the Wood family:

We went to the Utah State Fair on Saturday and had a lot of fun. We rode on some rides, went down the big yellow slide, ate funnel cake, got a balloon dinosaur from the clown, saw the tiger show, saw a HUGE cow and the FATTEST pig ever! Camden was quite the trooper, he sat in the stroller all day and never made a peep. Mason wanted to go on the rides and slide over and over again. The picture of him screaming is after the tiger show was over, he didn't want to say bye-bye to the tigers.

We were playing outside one evening and Camden found this tiny puddle of mud and was thrilled to splash and jump in it.

Chuck E Cheese
We went to Chuck E Cheeses for Lincoln's birthday party and the boys loved it! Camden had so much fun with the mini skee ball game. Mason found a game he called "Bumblebee" that he played and played. He was so cute, he took his little cup of coins and just took off playing the games like a big kid. He was excited to gather his tickets...he picked out a little gun that lights up and makes sounds. Thanks Lincoln for a fun, fun party!

SpLaSh PaRk

We went to the Magna Pool/Splash Park for Addy's birthday and had a blast. My boys loved this splash park (the one in Vernal is not so great!)...there are little spouts of water perfect for Camden to play in, there are water guns that you can move to try and shoot each other, and best of all...the water is WARM...I mean BATHTUB WARM! It was great!

One evening we headed over to Cold Stone for some delicious cheesecake ice cream with raspberries and graham crackers...then made our way to the park.

Here are some pictures of Mason and Camden that we had taken today. Each of the boys had their own breakdown moment, but overall, they turned out pretty darn cute. Now if I could just figure out a way to keep them this little forever...they are both growing up way too fast!

Attention: "Twilight" Fans

I was reading my friend Kelly's blog and was so sad to find out that Stephanie Meyer is no longer going to publish "Midnight Sun", which is "Twilight" from Edward's point of view. So since I hadn't heard anything about it, I thought I would pass along the sad, sad news. This is from Stephanie's website:

"As some of you may have heard, my partial draft of Midnight Sun was illegally posted on the Internet and has since been virally distributed without my knowledge or permission or the knowledge or permission of my publisher. did not want my readers to experience Midnight Sun before it was completed, edited and published. I think it is important for everybody to understand that what happened was a huge violation of my rights as an author, not to mention me as a human being. So where does this leave Midnight Sun? My first feeling was that there was no way to continue. Writing isn't like math; in math, two plus two always equals four no matter what your mood is like. With writing, the way you
feel changes everything. If I tried to write Midnight Sun now, in my current frame of mind, James would probably win and all the Cullens would die, which wouldn't dovetail too well with the original story. In any case, I feel too sad about what has happened to continue working on Midnight Sun, and so it is on hold indefinitely. I'd rather my fans not read this version of Midnight Sun. It was only an incomplete draft; the writing is messy and flawed and full of mistakes. But how do I comment on this violation without driving more people to look for the illegal posting? It has taken me a while to decide how and if I could respond. But to end the confusion, I've decided to make the draft available HERE.
