I've Been Tagged!

I have been tagged. The rules are: Once you have been tagged you have to write a blog with 10 weird random things, facts, or habits about yourself. So it's taken me a week or so to think of weird things, but not TOO weird of things. Here it goes:

1. I DO NOT watch scary or sad movies. But not only just scary or sad movies, but any part of any movie that is scary or sad. For instance; when I watch Lion King, I have to fast forward it until after the part where Mufasa dies, it's just too sad!

2. I have short, stubby toes. My family calls them "tootsie roll" toes.

3. I am a very light sleeper. I have to wear a blindfold (or whatever those eye patchy things are called) or else the instant there is light in the room, I'm awake. I would sleep with ear plugs in if I thought Ben would wake up to the sound of the boys'. But oh no. When Camden was first born, Ben fell asleep on the couch RIGHT NEXT to Camden in his swing. I was down the hall in our room with the door closed and I woke up to Camden crying while Ben snoozed away inches from the crying baby!

4. I NEVER honk my horn in my car. For some reason when other people cut me off, tailgate me, speed past me, or whatever, I give them an excuse for having road rage. Like if someone runs a red light, I think to myself: Hmm, maybe there is a pregnant woman in that car and they are heading to the hospital. I always think of logical reasons why they might be driving so crazy.

5. I have been to 11 countries including: US, Canada, Mexico, Denmark, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Italy, France, Belgum and Sweeden.

6. I have had my coccyx, aka tailbone, removed. After having Mason, x rays showed that my tailbone was shattered into many pieces and everytime I sat (or moved sometimes) it would crunch together causing pain. So in March of 2006 I had it removed but unfortunately after a year of recovery, the pain is worse now then before the surgery...fun!

7. My two least favorite things to do around the house are: folding the socks and emptying the clean dishes from the dishwasher. I will fold and put away all the other clothes without a fight but the poor socks get left in the bottom of the laundry basket without a second thought. I don't know why I don't like to put away the clean dishes, I just don't...

8. My feet are ALWAYS cold! All throughout the day they are like ice. I have extra thick, warm fuzzy socks that I put on for bed, but they still don't warm up. There has to be some battery powered warming socks out there somewhere, I just haven't found them yet.

9. I could never be a nurse. I hate blood, needles and pain. Before I was married I went in for a regular check up, I had my finger pricked and... I fainted. Not my proudest moment, but after having two kids you kind of have to toughen up...a little at least.

10. You know those tubes that the crescent rolls and cinnamon rolls come in? Ya, I can't open those...it scares me! You never know when that "pop" is going to come.

Valentine's Date

Friday night we went out and had our Valentine's date. We went to dinner then to the Grizzlies hockey game. We had a lot of fun. We were in the second row so we were pretty much sitting next to the players on the bench. Hockey games are usually determined good or bad by how many fights there were. So this game was pretty good, not too many fights, but one guy did break his leg! What a crazy sport!

I'm a big kid now!

Mason is potty trained! Yeah! The first two days were very long and frustrating but he hasn't had an accident for two days straight! Go Mason! He LOVES his Diego, Cars and Thomas big boy underwear!

This week we are attempting potty training. I am so worn out from day one that I really want to just forget it and try later. But then I picture a day when I only have to change one little bum and that keeps me going. Wish me luck!

Hawaiian Fun

My whole family (with a grand total of 32 people) went to Maui over Christmas and New Years. We had so much fun! When we weren't visiting and playing the game Settlers, we were boogie boarding, snorkeling, hiking, whale watching, sight seeing and swimming. The married couples left the 15 grandkids on Maui with their awesome grandparents, aunts and uncles and went on a three day vacation of their own to the big island of Hawaii.
