A few days ago Camden started taking a few steps and now he's already going across the room and standing up without holding on to things. What a fun stage in life!

Where has June gone???
Here is what we've been up to lately...

Deseret Peak
It takes Mason a few minutes to get used to the water, but once he does, he turns into a fish. He loves to go down the waterslides and jump off the side of the pool

We stopped off for some ice cream cones after swimming...Camden decided to eat the bottom of the cone first.
Vernal's new recreation center

We went to Vernal last weekend and went to the new rec center. It has an indoor pool that is a lot of fun for the kids. It has slides, spouts, sprays, buckets, water guns...all sorts of fun water stuff to play on. We went on the second day it was open, so it was way crowded, but still a lot of fun!
Camping Adventure

Mirror Lake
We went camping this weekend with some friends up in the Mirror Lake area. The original plan was to go to Smith & Morehouse but upon arrival, we were told the campground was full and so were the surrounding campgrounds...Hmmm. Now what do we do??? Seriously, who thinks to make reservations for a campground? Not me! So we headed up towards Mirror Lake and were pleasantly surprised by the many nice campgrounds up that way.
Pictures of Camden on his first camping trip

The boys were really good and had a lot of fun! Of course they had their moments of being stinkers (bedtime) but all in all, they were quite the happy campers! Mason LOVED being a big boy by helping with the tent.

We even got to play in the snow!

Mason was really excited about fishing! Camden liked watching the bobber, or in his words "bahhh", float on the water.

Thanks Dyer's for a fun, fun weekend! The weather was perfect and the scenery was beautiful. It was great to just hang out and relax!

HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY MASON!!!
Mason turned 3 years old last week! He opened presents the morning before we left for our trip. We were a little frazzled about getting packed and things...hence the birthday donut.
On his birthday my sister asked him what kind of cake he wanted (meaning which flavor of cake) Mason answered "Thomas cake". Marci said "Umm..." She went and got out two cake mixes and asked him which one he wanted and he still answered "Thomas cake!" So being the fabulous aunt that she is...here is the cake Mason got on his birthday!

Our Sweet Mason...

He is becoming such a little man. Here are some insights into the life of Mason:
*He loves puzzles! He can do the 24 piece regular puzzles all by himself. He knows his ABC's, colors and can count to 12.
*He says the funniest things: Just as I'm sitting here typing this, he drops a toy and says "Ahhh, Pickles!" (He learned that from the Higgly Town Heroes cartoon). He had a runny nose at my sisters this week, got frustrated about it and yelled "Why do my boogers just keep coming!" He was buckling his car seat today and couldn't quite get the straps to click. He was talking to himself and said "Oh, I see the problem here."
*He likes to help me make my grocery list. (Poor kid, he got the list making gene from me). When we are out of something he'll come tell me and say that we need to put it on the list.
*He is becoming very polite. His niece said "I need a drink" and Mason corrected her by saying "We don't say I need, we say could I please have a drink".
*He loves to be outside! Even though we only have dirt for a yard, he'll sit for hours just digging in the dirt, burying his cars.
*He has an exellent memory. A lot of his sentences start out "Remember when..."
*He enjoys playing with this little brother. He gets mad at me sometimes for putting Camden down for naps because he wants to play with him.
*People that aren't around him a lot think he is quiet, but oh no, you are mistaken. He is quite the chatter box! Especially in the car, he talks non stop. He is already to the "why" stage. He asks why for everything!

V-A-C-A-T-I-O-N
What an awesome week! We started out by driving to Denver and dropping off our two munchkins with my sister. We then flew into LA, met up with Mindy and Dave and went to the musical WICKED that night. How can I explain this show??? It was phenominal! One of the main characters was played by her understudy that night and I just can't image anyone playing that role any better. The two main gals have just incredible voices! And the Pantages theater...BEAUTIFUL!

The next adventure was Six Flags Magic Mountain. We got there right when it was opening, went straight to the ride X2 and still waited in line for over two hours. This ride has been opened less then two weeks so the line was crazy! Ok, with most rides I get a little scarred when you're first starting out...going up, up, up. But by the end of the ride, I'm thinking "that was fun!" That was not so with the X2. I was seriously on the verge of tears, I was so scared! But all the other rides were awesome! We had a fun, fun day of rollercoasters!
Monday was a busy day...we started off doing something I've dreamed of doing for years and years...

Yep, that's right! I LOVE The Price Is Right! We waited around the CBS studios from 5:30 am til the taping at 1:00 pm but it was so worth it! The set is so much smaller then I expected and the show is so fast paced and energized. I was sad when we first got tickets because we wouldn't see Bob Barker, I wasn't exactly a Drew Carey fan. But I have to admit, Drew was GREAT! During the commercial breaks he signed autographs, made hilarious jokes and was just very personable! I was quite impressed. Even though we didn't get to "come on down", we still loved the experience!

Cruise Time!

Our cruise was four days and had two stops: Catalina Island and Ensenada Mexico.
On Catalina Island we walked around and shopped and then rented snorkel gear and went snorkeling at Lovers Cove in the freezing cold water!

Formal Night

In Mexico we took a shuttle to "La Bufadora" or "The Blowhole" (it sounds better in spanish, huh!) There was a flea market there where we got to bargain with the locals. Ben bought a hat and I bought a silver ring (Mexico is known for their silver) and a cute knock-off COACH bag!

(no, I don't know why my mouth is open in these pics, I was just excited I guess!)
The gang watching game uno of the NBA Championship...Go BOSTON!!!
Cruising is definately the way to vacation! Eating good food all day long, no worries about dishes or cleaning your room, always being entertained by magicians and comedians, having fun activites at your finger tips like waterslides, arcades, ping pong and basketball...What a fabulous time! I would like to thank all those who made this get away possible: My sis Marci for surviving while watching our two boys... Mindy, Dave, Chris and Tameo for being great company and... to Ben for being the best travel buddy and letting me plan the things I would like to do.
Denver
While we were in Denver Ben took Mason to an Air Show.
