Back and Forth, Back and Forth...

So we've been weekending in Vernal the last two weeks plus we're heading out again this weekend. Here's what we've been up to:

July 24th-
We went to the scout breakfast which is always fun. The whole town shows up so it's fun to catch up with people you haven't seen in awhile. We played at the park after eating, bounced on the bouncy slides, then headed to get seats for the parade. Mason loved running after the candy being thrown and watching the firetrucks, police cars and tractors (yes, this is hickville, there were about 15 "vintage" tractors in the parade). Camden loved the beach ball he caught and watching the horses and dogs in the parade.

We did fireworks that night at Grandma and Grandpa's. Mason really enjoys doing fireworks and is still asking me everyday when we can do them again. He likes the tanks and monster trucks (of course) and the climbing panda. He DOESN'T like the loud screaming fireworks. It was funny to see his six year old cousin protecting him from the loud noises, she went inside and got her pillow for him so he could put it over his ears. Too cute!

Blessing-
Chantel and Brian blessed their baby girl, Hailey Marie Cook, this last Sunday. She is a doll with her curly strawberry blonde hair. We had a good time getting together for a BBQ after the blessing. Congrats guys on the beautiful little girl!

Swimming and Swinging-
It's not a weekend in Vernal without going swimming. The rec center has a dinosaur slide that Mason goes down about 100 times in a row.

ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh cute!!! I'm glad the kids were all able to have fun together!! I hope my kids didn't overwhelm your kids too much!! Sometimes they(cough, Jocee, cough)can be a little overbearing with their wanting to "take care" of ones smaller than themselves. Especially when the real parent is right there. But I hope you guys had fun!!!
